Secured Business Lending is a trading name of Bonington Loans Ltd.
Terms & conditions
These terms apply to your use of this website. Please read them before using the borrowing calculator or making an enquiry. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
Who we are
This website is operated by Bonington Loans Ltd, trading as Secured Business Lending. Bonington Loans Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to enter into and administer regulated consumer credit agreements under firm reference number 805272. Bonington Loans Ltd is a company incorporated in England, registered address 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, England, IP28 7DE, company number 11100941. Correspondence address: 8a Tweed Mills, Dunsdale Road, Selkirk, Scottish Borders, Scotland, TD7 5DZ.
Not all of the lending we provide is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Business lending to a limited company is generally unregulated, while lending secured against an individual's home may be a regulated agreement. We will make clear which applies before you enter into any agreement, and the protections available to you differ between the two.
The figures on this site are indicative only
The calculator produces an indication based on the figures you enter. It is not an offer of credit, a quotation, a credit promise or an agreement in principle. Nothing on this website creates any obligation on us to lend to you.
Any actual lending depends on a full assessment including a valuation of the security, an affordability assessment, identity and anti-money-laundering checks, and our underwriting criteria in force at the time. The amount, rate, term, fees and conditions you are ultimately offered may differ — in some cases significantly — from anything shown here.
Monthly payment figures shown are stated as starting points, are calculated on assumptions about rate, fees and term, and exclude valuation fees, legal costs and any third-party charges. They are illustrative.
Indicative terms are not an offer
Where we send you indicative terms following your enquiry, they set out the basis on which we might be prepared to lend, using the information you have given us. They are not an offer of credit and are not binding on us. Formal terms follow only after underwriting, and any lending is subject to valuation, legal work and the consent of any existing charge holder.
We do not give advice
Nothing on this website is financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and nothing here is a personal recommendation. Borrowing secured against property is a significant commitment. You should take your own independent advice before entering into any agreement.
Information you give us
You agree that the information you give us through this site is accurate and complete as far as you know, and that you are authorised to give it — including where it relates to a business, a property, or another person such as a joint owner or guarantor. If you give us inaccurate information, any indication we produce will be unreliable.
You must not use this site to submit anyone else's details without their knowledge, or for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
Security and personal guarantees
Our lending is secured against property or land. Where a director, owner or third party gives a personal guarantee, they may become personally liable for the debt if the business cannot repay it. Anyone else named on the property, and anyone giving a personal guarantee, will normally be required to take their own independent legal advice. Full terms are set out in the loan documentation, which you should read carefully and take advice on before signing.
Availability
We try to keep this site available and accurate but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
Intellectual property
The content, design and code of this site belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use in connection with a genuine enquiry. You may not otherwise copy, republish or exploit any part of it without our permission.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including any liability we have under the rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on indicative figures shown on this site, or for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or anticipated savings.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, please tell us. Our complaints procedure explains how to raise it and what happens next.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published here when you use the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
